Special Edition (Skylite SLP 6208) 1978?
Hit and miss double album sounds like a hodgepodge sampling of their varied career, from Dad/Ken’s Southern gospel beginnings to the rock direction of the three guys to their later female-led pop. Includes a few contemporary gospel tunes by Dallas Holm, Gary Paxton, ‘What A Difference You’ve Made’, etc. Jesus music covers of Chuck Girard’s ‘You Ask Me Why’ and Daniel Amos’ ‘Sail Me Away’ come across weak and lackluster, but there is one fully realized hard rocker ‘Are You Ready’ that as good as the best off of Etemity Express II. Also opens with an interesting art-rock-ish synthesizer instrumental called ‘The Theme’. That’s about it though. (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
Thank you Ken for the front cover photo and Discogs for the track list. Thank you Donald for the inside gate-fold and rear cover photos.
