Classical guitarist and his attractive set of classical folk and fragile acoustic songs. Several of the songs are guitar instrumentals, some written by Bach, presented in a style comparable to Christopher Parkening or John Williams. The selections with lyrics (including ‘Peggy’s Cove’, ‘Gaspe’, ‘Samaritan Woman’, ‘Mobile’ and ‘Jesus Lift My Sadness Bare’) have a similar artful classical/folk design, quiet natured and backed solely by guitar, with delicate vocals shared between Andrew and Wendy Donaldson. Sometimes brings to mind sections of Phil Keaggy’s The Master & The Musician. Six of the songs are originals written by Andrew. A rather unique expression in Christian music, on a label where I least expected it. The aerial-view artwork on the cover and inner sleeve is superb.
