Farrell & Farrell (NewPax NP33050) 1978

Bob and Jayne Farrell are the embodiment of the whole late’-70s ‘ Christian radio pop-rock and ballads format. I can’t handle the slow-n-easy string-drenched songs, but I found a few likable moments on their debut in ‘Fig Tree’, the funky ‘Highwire’ and the slide guitar-enriched ‘Tryin’ To Get A Hold’. That opening pop nugget ‘Earthmaker’ ain’t too bad either. A couple of Bob’s songs are recycled from Hope Of Glory (‘Lifesaver’) and Dove (‘Adoption’) (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you George for the album cover photos and Discogs for the track list.
