Family (Lutheran Bible Institute LBI 1003) 1979

A later version of the group (referred to as Family IV on the back cover) with completely different members, but basically the same type of music. Mellow primitive homemade sound emphasizing their guy/gal harmonies, with backing from piano (primarily), plus electric piano, acoustic guitar and flute. Mostly standard run-of-the-mill pop, light rock, hymns, a cappella and contemporary gospel stuff, although their version of Children Of The Day’s ‘Givin’ To Jesus’ doesn’t turn out too bad (Honeytree’s ‘It’s Only Right’ might also be passable). Also a couple okay John Fischer songs spotlighting acoustic guitar (‘Alleluia!’ and ‘A New Day’). (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.
