A Measure 0f Faith (Kingsway

KJVIR 306) 1979 UK *

A Measure Of Faith shows the group capable in the studio realm as well. Not a perfect album, but overall still a pretty fine example of British folk and pop, devoid of any strings or horns (well ok, it does have a little bit of string synthesizer). Attractive dreamy minor-key edge to songs like ‘Listen To The Wind Blow’ and ‘Gentle Dove’, enhanced by such instruments as Auto-harp and bell tree. On ‘I Love To Walk And Talk’ you’d swear you were listening to Parchment. (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
