Shine On (no label 96-32) 1979

Although not on the same level as God Unlimited or Guitar Ensemble. New York’s The Gathering covers similar territory with occasional moments of charm. Shine On seems to fit right into that whole melodic post-liturgical Catholic folk ensemble scene. Typically acoustic guitars, electric bass, percussion and piano. The opening cut ‘The Light Of The Lord’ is the most Guitar Ensemble sounding of the set with its brisk Latin tempo, crisp guitar accompaniment and catchy bass line. One weakness is that the harmonies are sort of muffled and washed out. All songs written by member Patrick O. McCormack. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photo.  Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
