Let Us Consider (Augsburg 23-1676) 1980

I figured by this date they would have evolved into pea soup. Well I was pleasantly surprised to find otherwise. Let Us Consider is indeed mellow, but it seems to possess that same cozy acoustic warmth that held together albums like Sharing. Gentle string arrangements on several songs, usually delicate and restrained, particularly effective on the lovely ballad ‘I Can’t Seem To Love You, Lord’. Nice guitar pickin’, harmonica and country mood on ‘Strong In My Weakness’. Includes a couple Jessi Colter tunes, ‘Consider Me’ and ‘I Belong To Him’. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

They also have one more album from this period the 1981 The Gamble Folk ‎– On A Day Like Today: Contemporary Christian Love Songs (Augsburg Publishing House ‎– 23-1756).    diakoneo

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
