Good Seed (Village VR 7602) 1976

The Christian angle is toned down on this secular release, put out on an independent Indianapolis label. Same guys, but with a more polished commercial rock sound The ballads can get pretty doctored over with synths and stuff, but rockers like ‘West Bound, Heaven Bound’ and the rural-kickin’ ‘Happy Times’ crank pretty solid. A few songs where you can’t tell if the ‘you” refers to God or their girlfriends. Otherwise, it’s harmless things like ‘Cool Breezes’, ‘Billy Do-Wah’, ‘I Want To Be Good At Loving You’, ‘High Horse’ and ‘Oh Sweet Pretender’.      (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you DISCOGS for the front cover photo and track list. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
