Cantata Del Terzo Mondo (PCC CS 0154 LP) 1968? Italy *

Apparently a precursor to the Clan Alleluia lps on the same Italian label (see entries), written by the same guy (Marcello Giombini), with a similar organ/electric guitar ‘60s garage rock style. The natural comparison for this seven-man project would be The Beret’s The Mass For Peace (the gruff less-than-dulcet male vocals are fairly similar), but this seems more consistent overall, plus it doesn’t have all those strings and other additives. Some good Crusaders-like electric guitar leads coupled with psychy organ grooves, with robust drumming and electric bass action completing the picture. Music alternates with brief spoken portions. All lyrics in Italian. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
