Glad Sound (Descant E-434) 1979

Seven-person amateur guy/gal outfit doing mostly presentable folk and piano/guitar covers of Jesus music standards. A couple Keith Green songs, ‘Your Love Broke Through’ and ‘When I Hear The Praises Start’, the latter sounding not too far from Keith himself. The country side of Love Song is presented via ‘Front Seat, Back Seat’ and ‘Book Of Life’. A few descents into pop and contemporary gospel, such as ‘Behold The Man’ and that “favorite” of Evie bashers ‘Four Feet Eleven’ (the horror, the horror). Best tracks are the two closing solo male acoustic performances, ‘Lonely Voices’ and an eight-minute cover of John Michael Talbot’s ‘Suite’ that pretty much stays true to the original (including some fine guitar work). Primary backing instruments include acoustic guitar, piano and synthesizer. Custom lp from Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Discogs for the rear cover photo and track list.  Thank you Ken for the front cover photo.
