Tom & Candy Green (Green Mountain GMS 1040) 1972?

First and by far the best album by this prolific Vermont twosome. Their subsequent albums would lean towards MOR and contemporary gospel, growing progressively smoother over the years, but this recording stays true to a pure-and-simple acoustic folk spirit. Stark natural vibe with only acoustic guitar and Brad Smith’s electric bass backing the duo’s quiet harmonies. Mostly original songs, a couple traditionals (‘Were You There’, ‘Glory Glory’) and a cover of Larry Norman’s ‘UFO’. Northfield, Vermont custom label. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photo and Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
