Clear Vision (Grapevine GRV 122) 1978 UK *

Clear Vision continues with another ccm-ish mix of light rock, country and ballads. It’s definitely his mellowest outing, including lots of slow string-accompanied songs, a couple of which are softened down further with saxophone (‘I’m Going Home’ and ‘You Are Everything’). The mood picks up a bit for country ditties like ‘I’ve Got A Song’ and ‘The Tongue’, the latter with readily detectable rooster crows. ‘A Father’s Love’ rocks lightly with brass backing up its island melody. Parchment appears on backing vocals. Produced by John Pac. Released only in the UK. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photo and Discogs for the rear cover photo and track list.
