Baby Lu-Lu (A-Turney A-TURN-LP-3) 1977?

Absolutely mind-frying record by blonde Southern belle who sings and talks about Jesus in a squeaky down-South goo-goo-ga-ga baby girl voice. Bettilu Turney is the responsible party and she’s basically the female answer to Lil’ Markie. All other female contenders and their dummies are left miles behind in the dust. She doesn’t have a dummy, but she does have two cute little poodles: Pepi LaPue and Mimi Fufu. Backed by soft electric piano and occasional comments from “Daddy” i.e., Jay W. Turney. Includes a brain-damaged version of ‘This Little Light’ that’s heavily ad-libbed and often indecipherable, going off on bizarre tangents about things like Daddy’s dirty underwear. Also covers of ‘His Name Is Wonderful’, ‘Let The Sunshine. In’ and ‘Something About That Name’, with mucho discussion in between, all in that confounded little voice. Rewards should be given to those who make it through the whole record. From the back cover: “The voice of Baby LuLu is a gift of God. As we were traveling the voice just came out. I do not know how I do Baby LuLu, only God knows, and I use it only to glorify his name.” Nice color photo on the front of Baby Lu-Lu holding her “babies”. Long live Mimi Fufu!! (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
