I serve a risen Savior, He lives 1933 Words and Music by Alfred Henry Ackley   He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. In all the world around me   I see His loving care, And though my heart grows weary,   I never will despair; I know that He is leading,   Through all the stormy blast; The day of His appearing   Will come at last. Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,   Lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs   To Jesus Christ the King! The Hope of all who seek Him,   The Help of all who find, None other is so loving,   So good and kind.

Today is the day we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection. New Life, life after death. In thinking about this day yesterday during my time of contemplation and reflection. I remembered that God gave women the blessing of discovering that Jesus had risen. They were the first to go to the tomb that morning. they were the first to see Him and the first to view the empty tomb. They were the first to run to the disciples with the three word “He Is Risen.” Similar to the last words He uttered on the cross. He gave up His life on Friday. The disciples did not believe the women. Peter you might say was the first doubting Thomas he did not believe he had to go to the tomb and see for himself. Luke 24:12 And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19. Three of the gospels say it was Mary Magdalene who was first to discover Him risen. Amazing, probably the most disgraced of the women had been given the privilege to be the first to proclaim Him risen. He [God] choose women above the men to proclaim Him to be alive. So women you are held in a special place in Jesus heart, remember that He is with us always. Remember also you are special. May God give you a special blessing today and everyday. He lives! He lives! Praise God Almighty He lives!
