Bless The Lord (FEL 622) 1975

Bless The Lord introduces some graceful Clapton-esque slide guitar on ‘Jeremiah Sings The Blues’ and ‘Someday’, while ‘Wings Of Wood’ receives an intriguing sitar effect. Such moments make Bless The Lord slightly more cutting-edge overall than 0 Let Him In. Maybe it’s the catchier melodies, but the Whitebird selections also seem to have a better chemistry going down on ‘Alleluia – Psalm 57’, ‘A Blessing Song’ and the title track, all of which feature flute accompaniment. Nice acoustic guitar solo on ‘Jesus Gave His Life Away’. Includes another enchanting Paul Clark-ish acoustic ballad entitled ‘Penitential Song’. See also Sing Out! Arise! Rejoice! (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you George for the front and  rear cover photo and track list.
