Day By Day (Sound 80  880-956-41248) 1976?

Fairly worthwhile homemade record from 11-person Catholic folk outfit. Standard repertoire and simple arrangements, complemented by pleasant harmonies and wholesome jangly acoustic sound Selections from Godspell (‘Long Live God’, the title track), Ray Repp (‘Come My Brothers’), Joe Wise (‘Be A New Man’) and Tom Paxton (‘Peace Will Come’) are presented with male/female vocals (solo and harmony), 12 string guitars, banjo and tambourine Also a brisk original guitar instrumental (‘Cutlass’). Lovely folk harmonies on the un-credited ‘Sometime’. Finishes with the brief a cappella ‘Closing Hymn’ which is one line of the Mickey Mouse theme followed by “amen”. The initials IMH are derived from Immaculate Heart Of Mary Church. From Minnesota I’m guessing, since Sound 80 is a Minneapolis studio.      (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
