Equal = Time (Artronics ART-1210) 1971?
Young Life project recorded live in Minneapolis featuring a side each from pianist Joe White and guitarist Sam Johnson. Joe’s trio (piano, bass, drums) has a soul and jazz feel, unfortunately marred by the crowd singing along loudly on almost every track. Sam with his acoustic guitar sounds straight out of the ‘60s folksinger tradition. After a sing-along of ‘Children Go Where I Send Thee’ he performs several of his own tunes: ‘Greyhound Song’, ‘Pollution Song’ (inspired by Earth Day), ‘Let Something Good Be Said’ (written for Martin Luther King when he died) and the moving ‘Trilogy Of Faith’. Worth a listen. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photos. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
