Damascus Road (SSP LP-618) 1978?

Respectable homemade serving of rural-edged soft-to-middle-ground rock, a pleasant melodic sound somewhere in the vicinity of groups like Parable. Five guys and one girl based out of Dubois, Pennsylvania. Plenty of electric guitar leads to go around, including a note-for-note ripoff of the solo from Love Song’s ‘Front Seat, Back Seat’ on the country thurnpin’ ‘Clean That Dusty Thing Off’. Includes some backing from synthesizer, Fender Rhodes and piano. ‘Youngblond’ is an intriguing tongue-in-cheek Christian take-off on the Coasters/Bad Company hit ‘Youngblood’. Handsome path-through-the-woods cover illustration. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
