Life As We Know It (IN-4328) 1972?
Nine college students doing basic lively versions of folk standards like ‘Jordan’s River’, ‘Early In The Morning’, ‘He’s Everything To Me’, ‘You Can Tell The World About This’, etc. Five guys, four girls, three guitars, one banjo, one upright bass, one tambourine. A handful of self-written songs, one of them being a live comedy-and-song routine called ‘Zactly What’s In My Heart’, filled with a boatload of groan-inducing puns. The audience sure eats it up, especially one loud chick that sounds like a frickin’ hyena. The standout track would have to be ‘Are You Running With Me Jesus?’, a charming moody minor-key ballad featuring just a couple female singers. A custom album from Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photo. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
