They’ll Know Us By Our Love (SPS 3089) 1969

Another generic unison-vocal co-ed ecumenical folk ensemble strumming their way through straightforward low-fi covers of Ray Repp, Peter Scholtes, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and others. Guitars, banjo, bass, percussion and youth harmonies are all put together for sing-alongs of ‘Allelu!’, ‘Clap Your Hands’, ‘I Am A Rock’, ‘Sounds Of Silence’, ‘They’ll Know We Are Christians By Our Love’, ‘Blowin’ In The Wind’, etc. The periodic insertion of jangly garage electric guitar gives a much needed boost to the project. From First Congregational Church in Downers Grove, Illinois. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Ken for the front cover photo.  Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
