Peace (SU-601) 1979?

Peace is not quite as interesting as To Jesus With Love, especially when you gotta put up with stuff like ‘Have You Never Met Jesus’ to the tune of Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Have You Never Been Mellow’ (arrrrghll hold me back! !).  Same goes for their conversion of the Frank Sinatra hit ‘My Way’ into ‘His Way’.  Several ballads and gospelly songs, plus not as many rock moments overall, although they do manage to close with an excellent Santana-like sizzler called ‘Be Still And Wait’. Also contains covers of Danny Lee (‘Jesus He Is The Son Of God’), Sammy Hall (‘Jesus Is The Man For The Hour’), Love Song (‘The Wind Was Low’) and the Gaithers (‘Come Holy Spirit’). Includes assistance from Petra’s John Lawry on synthesizer. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

Frank Sinatra’s hit “My Way”, the lyrics were written by Paul Anka.   diakoneo
