More Than Just A Carpenter (CAM/Selah JL-101) 1974?

This guy/gal San Antonio outfit hangs out mostly in Andraé Crouch realms on their self-made record, doing stuff like ‘I Don’t Know Why’, ‘Through It All’ and ‘It Won’t Be Long’, They also work in covers of ‘I Wish We’d All Been Ready’, ‘I Believe In Jesus’ (to the tune of ‘I Believe In Music’) and Love Song’s ‘Two Hands’. Still, the contemporary gospel vibes tends to win out over the Jesus music angles most of the time, especially with the smooth vocal harmonies. Backed by piano, acoustic and electric guitars, some harmonica, plus rhythm section. ‘Keep On Singing’ manages to slip in a worthwhile electric guitar solo. Cover uses the same image of Christ as Morning Star’s I’ll Light Your Way. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
