Josh (No label SC009) 1980?

Another one of them local male melodic country rock outfits that can more than hold their own against groups like Harvest, Mountain Angel Band, Mountain Glory, Heirship and the like. The electric guitars are in there solid, both rhythm and lead, periodically letting loose with some sizable rock attitude or Southern growl. Other instruments in the mix include piano, Rhodes, bass and drums. ‘Rock-N-Roll’ boldly states that the West Coast doesn’t have all the good Jesus music, but that Oklahoma can rock, too (names like Larry Norman and Chuck Girard are tossed out in the lyrics). Other titles lettin’ loose some energy include ‘Stand Up’, ‘Little David’ and ‘Forgive Me’. Also a few softer acoustic tracks like ‘Time Alone’ and ‘I’m A Searcher’, plus one semi-loungy trumpet moment on ‘What Have You Got To Lose’. All ten songs written by the group. Custom record from Bethany, Oklahoma. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
