Word-Walkin’ Word-Talkin’ Family (WOW WPTL 110) 1978
You certainly wouldn’t pick this one up based on the conservative cover photo where a slick suit-and-tie Lepinski sits on a couch reading the bible to his family. Musically, however, it’s the same blues/boogie bag as The Glory News, sampling rock (‘My God Is Able’), rock-n-boogie (‘Celebration’, ‘Hello Joe’, ‘Manifestations’, ‘Amen’) and saxxy blues/r&r (the title track), along with a couple diversions into country (‘Born Again On A Saturday Night’ and ‘20 More Miles To Billings, Montana’). Mucho references to Way programs, speaking in tongues, etc. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.
