Falling In Love With Jesus (RL 5079) 1979?
Thumbs-up for this Detroit man and his custom 1p of rural acoustic rock. Variety of moods, including gentle folk-rock with flute (the title song), dreamy acoustic with steel-guitar (‘Jesus Around The Comer’ and ‘Jesus Knows The Way’), rock (‘When I Get Home’ with sharp electric guitar), ballads (‘He Stands At The Door, Knocking’) and rural folk (‘You’ll Be My People’). Creative synth backing on ‘I Found A New Life’. Also some fine country twangers, ‘Spirit Move Me’ and ‘One Wild Party’, the latter with the line in the Lord like he was wine”. Cool primitive cover art, too. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you George for both the front and rear cover photos. Thanks Discogs for the track list.
