Give Yourselves To Me (Tower SCM 802) 1971 UK *

Sixteen additional folk songs featuring acoustic guitars, bass, drums, piano and occasional organ. Slightly softer and leaner sound than his Pilgrim lp. Songs are selected from the repertoire of the group 20th Century, including several written by Geofliey Beaumont (i.e., Father Beaumont). Sample titles are ‘Jesus The Giver Of All’, ‘Cold Was The Moon’, ‘Darkness Surrounds Me’, ‘We Have Danced Along’ and ‘There’s A Lot Of Good Things In The Earth’. His version of Beaumont’s ‘There Is God’ sounds pretty close to his earlier mid-‘60s recording of the same song while in the beat group The Liverpool Raiders.     (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
