A Song In My Heart (NALR LS744) 1974

Led by Roger Smith, The Living Spirit follows the early Catholic folk formula to a tee with their moody male ensemble harmonies, acoustic emphasis (guitars, bass and tambourine) and solemn minor-key songwriting. A few brief liturgical songs get tossed in with the rest. A somewhat plain yet respectable NALR release that at its best moments recalls albums like Songs For The Masses. Founded at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston. See also the entry under Roger Smith & The New Commitment.     (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.  Thank you discogs for the cover photos and the track list.
