Handforged (New Born NB 7022) 1980? Canada *
The typical New Bom release is often a soft rock and MOR ballads style with a couple harder edged tracks tossed in to keep things on the up and up. Such is the case with the male/female foursome Legacy. In the heavier electric category are noteworthy renderings of ‘Build This House’ (co-written by Scott Roley) and Arlo Guthrie’s ‘Which Side Are You On’. Elsewhere it’s usually lightweight easy-breezy tunes or orchestrated ballads, including covers of Hadley Hockensmith’s ‘Forgiven’, Albrecht, Roley & Moore’s ‘Take It To The People’, and Phil McHugh’s ‘I Am Stone’. Familiar names in the credits include Richard Souther, Hadley Hockensmith, Beau Macdougall and Alex Macdougall. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquied this album yet. Thank you George for the front and rear cover photo. Thank you Discogs for the track list.
