Come Home (C0 5718) 1973

Opening with the gentle sounds of a babbling brook to which are added electric guitar and soft sustained electric piano, the Connecticut threesome of Nancy Freitas, Richard Peterson, and Loren Jenkins prove their competence in the calm soothing Children Of The Day breed of folk-rock. Other instruments include flute, synthesizer, Celeste, percussion, violins, and French horn, played by several assisting friends. Mostly a peaceful tranquil atmosphere with some mood-setting recorded effects like ocean waves, rushing water, and sea gulls. A pair of more upbeat songs opens side two. Noticeably home-made sound (the violins especially) yet imbued with a certain charm. Great primitive black-and -white cover art of Jesus with arms outstretched. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.
