The Mass Media (no label H-160) 1973?
Otherwise known as the Folksingers of St. Anthony’s R. C. Church, Hightstown, NJ, They decided to do a record and here it is in all its crude amateur intentions. It’s tolerable low-tech guitar-and-voiee folk covers of things like ‘Joy Is Like The Rain’, ‘Prayer Of St. Francis’, ‘Let There Be Peace On Earth’, ‘Day Is Done’, ‘Why Me’, ‘Weave Me The Sunshine’, etc, Typically sounds like a smaller group than the fourteen young adults pictured, especially on the solo performances. Flute makes an appearance on ‘1 Lift My Soul’. The electric guitar on ‘Enter, Rejoice And Come In’ has a nice sloppy twang to it. Overall of minor interest. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
