Sings Christmas Songs (New Light NL 250) 1977?
Charlie The Hamster is obviously a blatant Christian rip-off of Alvin and The Chipmunks. And he’s pretty dem hilarious too as he and his fellow hamsters (cousins Huey and Stanley) belt out harmonized country twangin’ gospel numbers like ‘The Holy Land’, ‘High On The Hump Of A Camel’, ‘Books Of The New Testament’, ‘Think Jesus’ and ‘If You Believe In Jesus (Say Amen!)’. I put one of these records on once and next thing I knew the kids were jumpin’ around the room like pogo sticks. Conceived by writer, recording artist and song evangelist Floyd Robinson who also fulfills the David Seville role. Makes me wanna suck down a helium balloon and join in. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.
