Sing Alleluia (NR 7316) 1974?
Intriguing titled Catholic youth ensemble that manages to inject a fair amount of charm into what is basically a generic unison-vocal folk style. Seventeen people ages 14 to 20, three acoustic guitars, an electric bass, some percussion, and humble youth harmonies served au naturel. They would appear to be fond of Jack Miffleton as they perform four of his songs. Also covers of Ray Repp, Sebastian Temple, Karen Lafferty (‘Seek Ye First’) and one original song. From Boomer, West Virginia, “We are willing to travel to churches Within a reasonable distance. We ask no remuneration except food and lodging in the area where we perform.” (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
