Listen People (Focus FS-1034) 1979? Australia *

Classy Australian female solo lp of folk, rock and singer / songwriter tunes, all of it thankfully clear of any polished ccm tendencies. Several musicians give Jacky a hand, providing such instruments as acoustic and electric guitars, organ, synthesizer, electric piano, flute, recorder and mandolin. Soft easygoing moods (‘I Am Someone’), folky acoustic tunes (‘Torn Between Two Worlds’), melancholy ballads (‘Father Part 1’), a touch of country (‘The Other Side’). Nice gentle touches of wah-wah on ‘The Light’. The closing ‘Listen To The Rain’ beautifully blends acoustic guitar, soft trickling piano and rain / thunder effects. Glossy gate-fold cover. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Tommy for pointing  me to the inside gate-fold, label and rear cover photos.  Thank you Brian for the track list.
