Thanksgiving (No label, no #) 1976? Canada *
Mostly light rock, MOR and contemporary gospel recording from 4-girl 2-guy Canadian group. A home-made affair without much polish, featuring easy-going guy/gal harmonies backed by a mellow pop-ish keyboard/guitar mixture. These are scores of albums like this that I haven’t listed in Archivist, but this one’s here mainly for ‘He Was Saying To The World’, a more solemn artful piece that begins with crowds condemning Jesus, then builds to a climax of hard-rocking electric guitar. Elsewhere they do praise numbers, traditionals, hymns and covers of songs by John Fischer, Danniebelle, Sonny Salsbury, etc. Canadian artist Arlen Salte can be found assisting with electric, classical and acoustic guitars, percussion and bass. A ministry of the Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute in Camrose, Alberta. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo plus the song list.
