I Dreamed (Scratch 8105-70) 1981
A diverse and more fully arranged work that mostly hovers in folk and soft-rock environs. A greater emphasis on keyboards this time, with piano and synthesizer often joining Kenny’s acoustic guitar. Other instruments include electric guitar, mandolin and trumpet, plus there are some female background vocals. Cordial country moves on several tracks, including fiddle and steel guitar on ‘The Song Of The Happy Hog Farmer’ and the hillbilly ‘Hoedown’. Other moods include the Nutshell / Parchment—like rock of the opening ‘It Is Finished’, the melodic acoustic jangle of ‘Each For The Other’ and the ragtime-ish ‘The House At The Edge Of The Town’. Kenny’s from Austin, Texas. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
