Trees Talk Too! (World WLP-1011) 1970?

Here we go again. Another lady from down South, another freaky looking dummy and another classic homemade album of songs and routines. The cover photo says it all: Geraldine Ragan with her bounteous ‘60s Marlo Thomas hair and white wedding gown, holding on her lap the obviously zombified Ricky. Ricky’s Alfalfa-on-helium voice and squeaky over-the-top high-pitched laugh join Geraldine for routines like ‘The Nickel And The Dollar’, ‘The Grand Canyon’, ‘The Liquor Store’ (a lesson on “alkeehol”), ‘Reading The Bible’, and the 13-minute teary-eyed piano-accompanied “sermon” ‘The Three Little Trees’. Also an as-you’ve-never-heard-it-before duet of ‘Just A Closer Walk With Thee’, along with a couple serious songs by Geraldine. Nice b&w pics on the back, too: Ricky golfing with Geraldine’s husband Dave, and a professional family portrait of the threesome. An alternate cover exists with a fancy color painting of the duo on the front, plus a different photo on the back. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.
