Jacobs Well (no label 33213) 1978

Pleasant custom folk production featuring Russell Schmidt and Patty Leonard, both of whom are singers, guitarists and song-writers. Usually an acoustic guitar focus, sometimes joined by piano, with Russ and Patty singing solo for the specific songs they wrote. Patty’s selections often duplicate the aching melancholy of Marj Snyder, particularly on the ballads ‘Promise Of The Rainbow’ and ‘Much Afraid’. When they sing together as on ‘The Open Door’, they warmly recall Ellis & Lynch. Russ also contributes synthesizer, while other parties supply piano, flute, drums, bass and additional guitar. Eleven original songs. No indication where they’re from, although there’s a thanks to the St. Paul Catholic Youth Center for the use of Jacobs Well Coffeehouse.    (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

Thank you George for both the front and rear cover photos.

I have not acquired this album yet.
