Second Wind (no label RSP80081) 1980

Zesty electric rock/folk-rock custom from five-guy one-girl Russellville, Arkansas gang. Mostly upbeat with satisfying electric guitar leads and Hammond organ for that Southern rural edge. ‘Let Us Sing’, ‘Seekin’ To Find’, ‘Second Wind’ and ‘I Wanna Dance’ all move along briskly, sometimes recalling the exuberance and carefree spirit of The Pat Terry Group. Can’t help wondering if ‘Trust In You’ is a Christian take-off on Zeppelin’s ‘D’yer Mak’er’. The mood softens to a mellow acoustic MOR format midway through side two. Includes assistance from Petra’s Greg Volz whose high-powered yelps can be easily detected in the slow rocker ‘Never Gonna Give In’. Back cover lists an earlier cassette release called Praises From The South.    (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you George for the front cover photo.  I am back. I had a close friend who recently passed away and went home to be with Jesus. He was in and out of the hospital most of 4 months. Thank you for your patience during this time.
