How Much Farther? (The Production Co TCP 101) 1979
Carl Rodenberg’s How Much Farther? has much of the feel of the early Myrrh label. You know, back in the days of Ray Hildebrand, Larry Hubbell, Eddie Robinson and Barry McGuire’s Seeds. Like the latter his vocals sometimes have a pleasant raspy hue. Gospelly female vocals back his blending of light rock, country and folk. Never gets real heavy, but does have the regular electric line-up including Rodenberg on keyboards. Contains nine of his songs such as ‘Bidin’ My Time’, ‘Homesick For Heaven’, ‘Ridin’ In The Car’ and ‘After A Long Day’. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
