Huey The Hamster (King’s Hiway KH 1001) 1973?
Presenting Huey the Hamster, not to be confused with Charlie the Hamster. Actually it’s the same guy (Floyd Robinson) running the show, with the same fun chipmunky results. Huey you may recall was one of the cousins helping out on Charlie’s records. I’m not sure if this is pre-Charlie (in which case Huey was later relegated to a sidekick) or post-Charlie (in which case Huey’s trying to break away and make it on his own solo). Regardless, Huey can squeak with the best of them through titles like ‘Hamsters Have More Fun’, ‘H-A-M-S-T-E-R’ and ‘A Happy Home’. Same label as Floyd’s Lil’ Ole Granny classic. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you to the Archivist for the front cover photo.
