Aw crud, the drummer guy out his hair. 9 O ’clock In The Morning finds the group adding piano to the acoustic guitars, bass and drums, resulting in a smoother folk/pop style. The semi-traditional selections don’t really set off any sparks (‘There’s Something About That Name’, ‘He Touched Me’, ‘Through It All’, ‘Greater Is He’). On the other hand, the self-written ‘Wisdom – Prov. 8:9’ is an excellent dreamy folk-rock track that effectively works in wah-wah and mandolin. Not far behind is ‘Jesus, I Offer’, another strong original title with electric guitar Also a pleasant folky strum through ‘The Banner Of The Lord’. Lineup is now three guys and two girls. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
