Shalom - We've Got To Do More

Canadian co-ed soft electric folk group that often scores better than their large number (22 members) and song selection would suggest. Some of their songs fall flat with unexciting unison vocals, but others have a simple folk charm, even drawing near God Unlimited on ‘0 My Precious Saviour’. The background organ, electric guitar strums and occasional guitar solos give the project a lift. Other instruments include acoustic guitar, electric bass, drums, piano, banjo and flute. Cuts back to just a handful of singers for some of the songs, including ‘I’m Unworthy’, ‘Into His Image’ and the acoustic title ballad. You can’t help but love a group that does a song like “I Love My Jesus’ to the tune of the Beach Boys’ ‘Surfin’ USA’. Mostly original songs, along with covers of ‘O Holy Night’ and ‘I Looked For Love’. Produced by Doug McKenzie. Interesting face-of—Jesus cover art. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.
