Simeon (Praise PRS 2010) 1976 Canada *

One of those clean-as-a-whistle pop-minded jazz-rock outfits, six guys led by guitarist, songwriter and singer Doug McKenzie, later of McKenzie-Prokop Band. From light and airy tunes to funky synth stuff to dreamy acoustic ballads that remind me of The Imperials’ ‘Eagle Song’. One loungy ballad with a flugelhorn lead Vocal arrangements are pretty smooth, especially the Glad-like a cappella intro to ‘Son Of Man’. Overall not too shabby. File with Sonlight and Messenger. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.
