Reality Roundabout (Clementswood CC123) 1969? UK *
This obscure 4-song EP is another prime example of the UK Xian ‘60s primitive garage electric folk/rock/beat sound ‘The Wall’ opens the set with electric bass, jangling phased electric guitar strums and crude drumbeats, followed by the soft electric ballad ‘I’ve Mocked Folks’. Out-of-tune tremolo basement guitars accompany ‘Coloured Pictures’, a minor-key song that recounts the crucifixion, while ‘Roundabout Of Life’ halts its melodic tune midway for a rough outburst of fuzz guitars in waltz time! A couple echo effects noticeable on the vocals. Totally low-budget sound throughout. Pic sleeve shows the four guys on a small playground merry-go-round. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.
