Trinity (A&R PE 0001) 1976?
Guitars, banjo and harmonica have some fun on this Texas male trio’s acoustic country-folk-rock custom. Half originals like ‘Psalm 151 (Hide And Seek)’, ‘Sow Seed’ and ‘Weed Seed’. The covers pay homage to the likes of Bob Dylan (‘1 Shall Be Released’), John Denver (‘You Dun Stomped My Heart’), The Band (‘Long Black Veil’) and Michael Murphey (‘Fort Worth, I Love You’). The acoustic guitar work brought to mind The Way in a couple places. Also some cordial bluegrass vibes scattered about. Friends add in bass, fiddle, keyboards, percussion and a female bgv. They say it all came together at Perkins School Of Theology, SMU, Dallas, Texas. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
