Have You Heard… (Martin 8-8797) 1970?

Proclaimation, The - Have You Heard

Lively folk-strumming co-eds (four guys, two girls) churning out secular and spiritual songs with acoustic guitars, upright bass, banjo and tambourine. Ed Kilbourne had a number of albums on this low-fi custom label and he’s the producer for this Atlanta, Georgia act as well. Members Jerry Meredith and Scott Dunbar also had a folk duo album on the same label. ‘This Old Riverboat’, ‘Homeward Bound’, ‘What Now My Love?’, ‘His Love’, ‘He’s Everything To Me’, ‘I’ll Tell The World’, etc. Spiffy yellow-and—black psychedelic cover design. The front cover misspells their name as “The Proclaimation”, perhaps intentionally, although the back cover spells it properly. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
