Chris (Custom Fidelity CF-1385) 1974
Ultra—simple home-made female folk-singer album, featuring just Chris, her slightly-out-of-tune guitar, and a program of ‘60s standards. She’s not in the same league as Linda Rich and Mark Snyder, but she’s got a decent voice and a like-able uncomplicated presentation – you’re average ‘60s gal appearing down at the local coffeehouse. You’ve heard most of these songs before: ‘Jesus Met The Woman’, ‘All My Trials’, ‘Sing Alleluia’, ‘Sinner Man’, as well as covers of ‘Four Strong Winds’, ‘500 Miles’, ‘They Call The Wind Mariah’, twelve songs in all. Austere cover design: the blue-tinted front has a few b&w snapshots of Chris (she looks about college age), while the back is completely blank. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
