Sounds Of Paradise (Word WST-8569-LP) 1972
Bud’s lulling peace-and-tranquility muzak floats on into the ‘70s, this time joined by piano, bass and additional guitar, bringing a soft gentle rhythm that the back cover calls “a constant, almost monotonous beat, reminiscent of the tides that lap those sandy shores.” The strings were nixed, but those mellifluous smooth-as—silk female vocals still blanket a good half the tracks. The repertoire is more familiar, too, including covers of ‘Jesus, There Is Something About That Name’, ‘A Quiet Place’, ‘Bring Back The Springtime’ and ‘Fill My Cup Lord’. About as mellow as you can possibly get. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
