Son Touched (Rite 34055/6) 1974?
One of those smooth-and-easy guy/gal college groups whose self-made record occasionally comes up with a twinge of sunshine pop charm. The twelve members of Son Touched apply their mellow harmonies (soprano, bass, alto, tenor) to standards like ‘A Quiet Place’, ‘Love Is Surrender’ and “Come To The Water’, backing it up with such instruments as piano, acoustic and electric guitars, flute, bass and drums. Nice female vocals and acoustic guitar backing on their cover of Phil Keaggy’s ‘Eternally Grateful’. Also some compelling original tunes, such as ‘Come To Me’ and the bright graceful ‘Son Touched’. Other selections have more of a traditional or contemporary gospel sound. From Houghton College in Houghton, New York. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Brian for the track list and rear cover photo.
