Sometimes Alleluia (Myrrh MSA-6560) 1976

Sonlight Orchestra, The - Sometimes Alleluia

Rose, Roberts and crew were apparently deemed fit enough to be invited back for this encore performance. Not quite as interesting as the debut mainly due to the soft-jazz component (although I caught myself smiling at their funky ‘70s jazz interpretation of Honeytree’s ‘Searchlight’). Also ‘I Can’t Wait’, ‘Prince Song’, ‘I Am A Servant’, ‘Say I Do’, ‘It Took A Carpenter’, others. No vocal snatches this time, but they do give you a lyric sheet so you can sing along. Might possibly work as piped-in muzak for old Jesus freak reunions. Spanking cover art. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
